Lionel club to hold open house and Halloween party

NEW LENOX — The Chicagoland Lionel Railroad Club will host an open house and Halloween party from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the clubhouse, 1311 S. Schoolhouse Road.

There will be a Halloween costume contest for children 10 years old and under with prizes. Costume judging will be at 1 p.m.

Admission cost $2 per person or $5 per family. Food and beverages will be available.

Mobile pantry to visit church

CHANNAHON — The Northern Illinois Food Bank’s Mobile Pantry will visit at 5 p.m. Nov. 1 at First Baptist Church, 25124 S. Fryer St.

The event for low-income and needy families is sponsored by Channahon Township and Living Mana Food Pantry.

Individuals are asked to bring photo identification, voter’s registration card and bags or boxes for food.

Food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
