Glasgow
to be honored

The Chicago Crime Commission will recognize Will County State’s Attorney Jim Glasgow next month for his work on the Drew Peterson murder case.

Glasgow will receive the Mitchell A. Mars Prosecutorial Excellence Award at the commission’s Nov. 7 awards dinner.

J.R. Davis, the commission’s president and chairman, said Glasgow “truly exemplifies the meaning of the title ‘Prosecutor.’”

Glasgow said in a written statement that he would be honored to accept the award on behalf of his entire office.

“Successful prosecutions like this are only possible through the hard work and dedication of every attorney, legal secretary and administrator in my office,” Glasgow wrote. “I am blessed to have such an excellent staff.”
