Columnist to address Irish American Society

JOLIET — Tom Boyle, who writes the column “Boyle the Kettle” for the Irish American News, will speak at 1 p.m. Sunday at the annual meeting of the Irish American Society of County Will at the Joliet Area Historical Museum, 204 N. Ottawa St.
The public is invited. The event is free and there will be refreshments.
Boyle’s topic will be “The Irish Influence in Chicago.”

Dental cleanings to help Joliet Women’s Club
SHOREWOOD — Shorewood Family Dental Care is sponsoring its third Giving Back One Smile at a Time event.
From 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the clinic, 607 W. Jefferson St., professional cleanings will be offered for a $30 donation.
Proceeds will benefit Joliet Junior Women’s Club.
The club offers multiple charitable services in the community.
