Two shot to death in Joliet

JOLIET — Two people were shot to death Tuesday night in the 700 block of Second Avenue, according to authorities.
Fire department Battalion Chief Mike Stromberg confirmed that ambulances responded about 7 p.m. to that block to transport two gunshot victims with “life-threatening injuries.”
Will County Coroner Patrick O’Neil said his deputies were called to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox shortly before 9 p.m. for a double homicide, but he had no other information at press time.
