Police Blotter: Cops find drugs, cash, gun

JOLIET — Police found a large amount of drugs and cash while searching a townhouse Wednesday morning, police said.

Will County Cooperative Police Assistance Team Director Mike Weber said Crystal A. Sullivan, 27, had been the subject of a monthlong investigation that led to a search warrant for 2507 Sumac Drive.

Weber said agents found 850 grams of cocaine, two pounds of marijuana, a 9 mm handgun and $27,931 during the search. Two vehicles also were seized.

Sullivan was booked into the county jail on five counts of delivery of drugs, two counts of delivery of marijuana and money laundering.

In other police news:

Michelle L. Allen: 26, of 418 Farmbrook Court, Romeoville, was arrested by Romeoville police and booked into the county jail Saturday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a suspended license.

William E. Mills: 46, of 120 Jessie St., Joliet, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Saturday on charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

Hugo R. Zamudio: 36, of 108 Illinois St., Joliet, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Sunday on charges of aggravated domestic battery and aggravated battery.

Jaime Zavala-Gutierrez: 46, of 20 Margaret St., Joliet, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into the county jail Sunday on charges of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a license and operating an uninsured vehicle.

Edward D. Williams: 27, of 527 Pontiac St., Joliet, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Sunday on charges of unauthorized possession of a firearm and unauthorized possession of ammunition.

Anthony W. Wilkinson: 18, of 403 Linden Ave., Joliet, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Sunday on a charge of residential burglary.

Everardo Nunez-Hernandez: 33, of 17479 S. Gougar Road, Joliet, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into the county jail Sunday on charges of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle and failing to report an accident involving an injury.
