The Three Rivers Arts Council is hosting a Halloween Costume Dance Party for teenagers, ages 13 and up on Saturday.
Music will be provided by DJ Will Thomas, with all the lights and extras to turn the firehouse, 413 Mondamin St. in Minooka, into a dance venue.
There also will be a costume contest judged by the crowd, along with concessions, sales of which will go to benefit TRAC. The cost is $3.
“We want people to come and have fun,” executive director Amy Hayes said of the weekend’s events, “and we want to introduce the community to what we do.”
In addition to cinema nights, TRAC hosts Art Night every Monday, where people can bring in their own arts and crafts to work on together. There are also monthly open mic nights, classes, and workshops available. For more information about TRAC, visit www.three-rivers-arts.org or e-mail info@three-rivers-arts.org or call 815-207-9193.
