JOLIET — Police are seeking the public’s help in finding a missing woman.

Linda L. Fellenbaum, 32, last was seen about 8 p.m. Oct. 21 leaving a residence in the 3600 block of Crockett Court.

Police said Fellenbaum was walking and left her vehicle and cell phone inside.

Family members grew concerned and reported her missing to police four days later.

“Relatives (told investigators) she has been missing before, but for her to be gone this long and not call her kids is not like her,” Cmdr. Brian Benton said.

Fellenbaum, a mother of three, originally is from Rockford and has been known to frequent Hinsdale and the Chicago area in addition to Joliet.

Benton said Fellenbaum had been living at a friend’s house for the past two months.

“Earlier in the week before her disappearance she was identified as being involved in the theft of a large sum of money at that residence,” Benton said.

Fellenbaum’s friends and family plan to conduct a search of the area Sunday. Volunteers are asked to meet at 10 a.m. at Mistwood Golf Course, 1700 W. Renwick Road in Romeoville.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call police at 815-724-3100 or anonymously call CrimeStoppers at 800-323-6734.
