Ron Tirapelli Ford in Shorewood to host benefit

Updated: December 15, 2012 6:03AM

SHOREWOOD — Ron Tirapelli Ford in Shorewood on Thursday will host “Go Further with Ford Night,” a free fundraising event from noon to 9 p.m. that will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

For each person who attends, the dealership will donate $10 — up to a total of $500 — to the society.

Attendees will have the chance to compete to win a special VIP experience with “American Idol.” A computer with a webcam will be set up in the dealership, 4355 W. Jefferson St., to allow consumers to view a special message from “Idol” host Ryan Seacrest and test their judging skills on camera.

Entries will be sent back to Ford’s program headquarters, where a team of experts will evaluate and select one winner to receive an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Hollywood and a unique VIP experience with “American Idol.”

Those ages 18 and older who are interested in participating in “Go Further with Ford Night” can preregister for the event at www.RandomActsofFusion.com and be entered for a chance to win tickets to a live taping of “American Idol.” Additionally, registrants at the dealership Thursday will be entered into a prize drawing to win an all-new 2013 Ford Fusion.
