Police blotter: Monee Township barn burglarized

MONEE TOWNSHIP — Police estimate more than $10,000 worth of tools and auto parts were stolen from a barn between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

Will County sheriff’s police said someone pried open the door of the barn in the 27100 block of South Harlem Avenue and took power saws, impact wrenches and drills, a set of valve covers, a carburetor, racing oil, gear lube and four cases of Miller Lite beer.

On Oct. 30, an air compressor was stolen from a barn in the 7000 block of West Bruns Road, and a case of oil, 12 drills, three saws, a safe, a jackhammer, wrenches, a Honda 50cc motorbike and 120 bundles of wire were stolen from a barn in the 6200 block of West Bruns Road the next day.
