Woman found in burning home died of natural causes

BOLINGBROOK — The Will County coroner has determined a woman found dead in her burning home last month died from natural causes.
Coroner Patrick K. O’Neil said toxicology and autopsy results showed Mary M. Mullen, 52, died Oct. 19 from the result of heart and breathing problems.
Investigators from the Bolingbrook Fire Department and State Fire Marshal said the blaze at her home in the 100 block of Kingston Lane started accidentally. O’Neil said smoking materials ignited her living room couch.
“She had already passed away before the fire started,” O’Neil said.

Randal F. Machado: 53, of 1301 Quail Drive, Plainfield, was arrested by Plainfield police and booked into the county jail Nov. 8 on a charge of driving without a license.
Todd A. Lucas: 31, of 995 Eunice Ave., Joliet, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into the county jail Nov. 8 on charges of driving on a suspended license and operating an uninsured vehicle.
Shawn D. Rodges: 22, of 525 Emerson Circle, Bolingbrook, and Leo J. Thomas, 21, of 2244 Gunderson Ave., Berwyn, were arrested by Bolingbrook police and booked into the county jail Nov. 8 on charges of aggravated battery.
Patrick R. Norton: 27, of 1502 Cumberland Drive, Joliet, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into the county jail Friday on charges of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a license.
James A. Turner: 33, of 2030 Princess Court, Lockport, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into the county jail Friday on charges of drug possession, marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence of alcohol.
Joseph M. Pergolizzi: 20, of 19400 Cherry St., Mokena, and Ryan A. Smith, 19, of 8750 W. Francis Road, Mokena, were arrested by Mokena police and booked into the county jail Friday on charges of theft and drug possession.
Cherry J. Rivera: 33, of 649 Sundance Drive, Bolingbrook, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into the county jail Friday on charges of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol and obstructing justice.
Vincent E. Bond: 46, of 1308 Demmond St., Joliet, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into the county jail Friday on charges of robbery and aggravated battery.
Ryan M. Bridges: 24, of 314 Woodcreek Drive, Bolingbrook, was arrested by Bolingbrook police and booked into the county jail Friday on charges of delivery of marijuana, marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
