Joliet Township official elected to post

JOLIET — Jeff Wallace, trustee of Joliet Township, was elected to serve as president of the Board of Directors of the Township Officials of Illinois during the association’s annual Educational Conference in Springfield.
The conference serves as an informational clearinghouse for member townships.
Candidates can turn in petitions
PLAINFIELD TOWNSHIP — Through Dec. 24, Plainfield Township offices will accept candidates’ petitions for the April 9 election.
Office hours are from 9 a.m. to noon Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and from 4 to 5 p.m. Dec. 24.
Up for election are supervisor, clerk, assessor, highway commissioner, tax collector and four trustees.
