to be Sunday

CHANNAHON — The village of Channahon and the Three Rivers Library District will hold the village’s annual Christmas Tree Lighting Event from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Village Hall, 24555 S. Navajo Drive. The tree will be lighted at 4:45 p.m.

There will be holiday crafts, cookies to decorate, rides on horse-drawn carriages, and pictures with Santa Claus. The Channahon Junior High School band and the MCHS Madrigals will perform.

The event is free; call the Village Hall at 815-467-6644.

Lunch with Santa
Dec. 8 in Frankfort

FRANKFORT — The first-ever lunch with Santa will be at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 8 at the Frankfort Township Building, 11000 W. Lincoln Highway.

Tickets cost $5 for children 8 years old or younger. There is no charge for children age 2 or younger. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Lunch from Meatballs is included in the price of admission.

Reservations are required, and tickets will be available at the Frankfort Township Building until Tuesday. Call 815-469-4907.
