Theater to show ‘Lord of the Rings’

Cinemark Holdings announced that tickets are on sale for “The Lord of the Rings” Movie Marathon, in which more than 185 Cinemark theater locations will feature the three “Lord of the Rings” films back-to-back.
For $30 for Cinemark XD locations and $25 for non-XD theaters, moviegoers can see all three films back to back on either Saturday or Dec. 9.
Another “Lord of the Rings: movie, “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,” opens Dec. 14.
Starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, the marathon will feature: “The Fellowship of the Ring” at 11 a.m., “The Two Towers” at 3:10 p.m. and “The Return of the King” at 7:25 p.m.
All three films will be played in the same order and times on Dec. 9.
Customers will receive a commemorative lanyard and event pass from Cinemark. There will also be discounts at the concession stand.
