Romeoville High School’s chess team won the 2012 Southwest Prairie Conference championship at Oswego High School.

Brandon Kavaliunas, Kevin Lam, Quang Dang and Lionel Davis all took first place on their boards, while Caelan Doran and Neil Pimentel took second place.

Ann Natale took third place.

In the open section, Holly Smith took second and Kyle Listermann took home third.
