JOLIET — The Will County Center for Community Concerns will offer a limited number of partial scholarships to income-eligible residents of Will County. Scholarship funding is provided by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity.
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must reside in Will County, meet income guidelines and attend an accredited institution of higher education in Illinois during the 2013 calendar year.
Applications will be available beginning Jan. 22 at 304 N. Scott St. Completed applications must be returned by close of business Feb. 4.

Tree collection
JOLIET — The city and Waste Management announced for those who will have a real Christmas tree, set it out after Christmas at your normal pickup location (curb or alley) on your regular trash day for pickup.
Christmas trees will be collected until Jan. 31.
