Valley View to hold parents event

ROMEOVILLE — Valley View School District parents can attend Student Services’ “Dessert with the Director” parent resource networking event Thursday at Lukancic Middle School, 725 Normantown Road.
The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with an assortment of desserts followed by question-and-answer time from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. hosted by Executive Director of Student Services Erika Ekstrom.
Free childcare for school-age children will be available.

Plainfield hall nominations
PLAINFIELD — The deadline to nominate someone for induction into the Plainfield Foundation for Excellence Alumni Hall of Fame has been extended to Feb. 1.
The hall honors district graduates who have distinguished themselves.
