WILL COUNTY — A new wellness initiative spearheaded by more than 60 local organizations looks to recognize Will County workplaces committed to improving employee health and well-being.
The WEWILL WorkHealthy Wellness Award Program is a chronic disease reduction initiative implemented by Will County’s Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships collaborative. The initiative seeks to recognize work sites that actively promote employee health through six main areas of worksite wellness.
To be eligible for program recognition, businesses must complete a special application detailing wellness activities that address health promotion/education, opportunities for physical activity, behavioral health, environmental health, nutrition and safety.
There is no application fee, and the application deadline is March 29.
Businesses can view and complete an application at www.willcountyhealth.org/en/link/WEWILL.
