Police Blotter: Natural causes killed driver in crash

NEW LENOX — The Will County coroner’s office said a Frankfort man died from medical issues and not as the result of a minor traffic crash Tuesday.
At 5:47 p.m., Fernando J. Pavon, 52, was on Interstate 80 east of Interstate 355 when his vehicle crossed over two lanes of traffic and struck a concrete barrier.
According to reports, other drivers said Pavon was “suffering some kind of seizure” as they called 911. Pavon was taken to Silver Cross Hospital and pronounced dead at 6:33 p.m. An autopsy was performed Wednesday.
Three busted selling booze to minors
WILL COUNTY — Three employees were arrested for allegedly selling alcohol to minors working with police Wednesday night.
State police investigators visited 24 businesses in Lockport and Romeoville to see if employees were checking IDs before making liquor sales, according to reports.
Lockport Wal-Mart employee Jennifer L. Kirn, 33; Romeoville Osco Drug employee Bryan A. Mosby, 23; and Romeoville Extra Value Wine & Liquor employee Harshadkumar P. Patel, 50, were arrested for delivery of alcohol to a minor, a class A misdemeanor. All three were released on notices to appear in court.

Mario R. Guzman: 34, of 436 Davison St., Joliet, was arrested by sheriff’s police Jan. 6 on charges of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, no license and no insurance.
Florencio J. Ruiz: 37, of 2617 S. Shields St.,Chicago, was arrested by Joliet police Jan. 6 on a charge of aggravated domestic battery.
Scott E. Vancura: 22, of 4745 N. Monticello Ave., Chicago, was arrested by sheriff’s police Jan. 6 on charges of driving on a suspended license and no insurance.
Joshua C. Nance: 20, of 3714 Buck Ave., Joliet, was arrested by Joliet police Jan. 6 on a charge of aggravated battery.
Silk A. Castillo-Alvarado: 18, of 1612 N. Hickory St., Crest Hill, was arrested by Crest Hill police Jan. 6 on a charge of theft.
Juan M. Garcia: 25, of 511 Preston Drive, Bolingbrook, was arrested by Romeoville police Jan. 6 on charges of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, no license and no insurance.
David H. King: 51, of 527 Sehring Ave., Joliet, was arrested by Joliet police Jan. 6 on charges of aggravated battery and shoplifting.
Morgan Reyes-Lopez: 27, of 32500 S. Center Road, Peotone, was arrested by sheriff’s police Jan. 6 on charges of unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Nicole L. Roedl: 34, of 2430 Rocky Hill Circle, Joliet, was arrested by Joliet police Jan. 6 on a charge of aggravated domestic battery.
