Easter Seals gets literacy funding

JOLIET — Joliet Region Easter Seals Jump Start Program was selected to receive funding under the U.S. Department of Education’s Innovative Approaches to Literacy Program.
The funds will enable the Jump Start Program to improve literacy outcomes for more than 100 families with young children in Will County.
To further enrich the home literacy environment, participating children also will receive a free book each month through a partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
JOLIET — Will County Clerk Nancy Schultz Voots reminds voters that they may be approached by individuals going door to door offering forms for requesting absentee ballots. They are not from the clerk’s office but are representing either a particular candidate or party.
