New Lenox principal to retire

Jackie Miller, the “beloved” Haines Elementary School principal, will retire at the end of the school year.
The New Lenox School Board announced her replacement at its Wednesday board meeting.
The room filled with applause as Assistant Superintendent Peggy Manville announced that Mark Fleming will be the new Haines principal. He is leaving his post as principal of Oster-Oakview Elementary.
Replacing Fleming at Oakview will be Theresa Baumann. She has served the district for many years as assistant principal at Caroline Bentley Elementary, Arnold J. Tyler Elementary and Nelson Ridge Elementary schools, Manville said.
