You gotta have heart!
Authorities were called Sunday night after a heart was found in a parking lot in Joliet.
Police said a passer-by found the heart at 5:48 p.m. in a plastic bag near the curb on the east side of Walgreens, 1801 Ingalls Ave.
A deputy Will County coroner was unable to determine at the scene whether the heart was human or animal, but a pathologist examined it Monday afternoon.
“It is an animal heart with coarse hair attached to it,” Will County Coroner Patrick K. O’Neil said.
