YMCA gala to be Feb. 23
BOLINGBROOK — The Greater Joliet Area YMCA will hold its annual Giving Gala at 6 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Bolingbrook Golf Club, 2001 Rodéo Drive.
Festivities will include dinner, silent and live auctions, raffles and entertainment.
Tickets cost $125 per person or $1,250 for a table of 10. Sponsorship opportunities, ranging from $50 to $10,000, are also available.
Raffle tickets, costing $25, are on sale with prizes of $2,500, $1,000 and $500.

Athletes invited to injury seminar
JOLIET — Rezin Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and The Joliet Park District will present a seminar for all athletes preparing to compete in any type of race and wanting to be injury free through the season.
The seminar will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Inwood Athletic Club, Joliet Park District Board Room, 3000 W. Jefferson St.
Topics will include “Knee Arthroscopy,” “Preparing our Body for Running” and “Fueling for Success.”
The event is free for Inwood Run Club members and $10 for nonmembers.
