Lipinski to host town hall meeting

LOCKPORT — U.S. Rep. Dan Lipinski, D-3rd, will hold a town hall meeting from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Lockport Central Square, 222 E. Ninth St.
At the meetings, 3rd District residents will be able to hear from Lipinski about his work on their behalf at home and in Washington, as well as ask questions and give their thoughts on federal issues.
Staff from the congressman’s office will be available beginning one hour before the start of the meeting to provide assistance with Medicare, Social Security, veterans benefits, and other federal matters.
Senior to get Valentine’s dinner
JOLIET — Emeritus at Joliet Senior Living Campus will present a free Valentine’s dinner at home with gifts and friends to one local senior who will be chosen as the recipient from among those nominated by the public.
To suggest a senior, provide his or her name and contact information, your contact information and a brief explanation of why you are nominating this person.
