White Oak to offer tax program

‘Tax Q&A’ in Lockport

LOCKPORT — The White Oak Library District will present the “Tax Q&A” program from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Gaylord Building, 200 W. Eighth St.

H&R Block tax consultants also will be available for individual questions on a first-come, first-served basis, from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

There are no fees involved. No tax preparation will be completed.

Children invited to Touch a Truck

JOLIET — Touch a Truck will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 8 at the Joliet Park District Multi-Purpose Center, 3000 W. Jefferson St.

Children can climb, sit and play on a variety of trucks. There will be indoor and outdoor activities at the free event. Zoo for You Petting Zoo and Shred-X will be there. This event is sponsored by D’Arcy Motors.
