Feb. 16 fundraiser set for New Lenox heart patient

Updated: March 4, 2013 6:22AM

Here is a non-traditional way to help a heart for Valentine’s Day. Attend the benefit for Tony “Z” Kroll’s ticker fund.

Kroll recently had open-heart surgery for a valve replacement and aortic aneurysm. More surgeries are expected. Kroll, 41, is a husband and father of three small children. Kroll has been the primary provider and has been unable to work full time.

The New Lenox Village Board approved a special liquor license Monday for the event. According to the flier attached to the application, Kroll and his family have been involved in the Lincoln-Way community for more than 20 years.

Join the Kroll family and friends to help offset the medical costs at a fundraiser from 6 to 11 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Lions Community Center, 1 Manor Drive, New Lenox.

Tickets cost $30 in advance or $35 at the door. Price includes buffet dinner, two drink tickets and live entertainment.
