Richland to host safety program
CREST HILL — The devastating tragedy in Newtown, Conn., still leaves questions regarding the safety of children in schools.
Richland School District will host a safety presentation at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the main gym of the school, 1919 Caton Farm Road.
Presenters will include representatives from Richland, Chaney-Monge School District, Crest Hill police, Will County Health Department and the media.

Boy Scouts host fundraiser
NEW LENOX — Boy Scout Troop 49 wil hold its annual pancake breakfast and bake sale fundraiser from 7:30 a.m. to noon March 17 at the New Lenox VFW Post 9545, 323 Old Hickory Road.
All you care to eat pancakes, sausage, eggs and beverages served by the Scouts.
Cost is $6 for adults, $5 for kids under 12 and seniors and free for kids 6 and under. For information, call Bob Willson 815-462-1705.
