Bridge inspections to bring lane closures in Joliet

JOLIET — On Tuesday and Wednesday, the Illinois Department of Transportation will perform survey and inspection work on the Jefferson Street, Cass Street and Jackson Street bridges over the Des Plaines River.
The bridges will remain open to vehicular traffic, but temporary lane closures will be in place between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Drivers are advised to exercise caution.

PLAINFIELD — More than 800 votes were cast in the last phase of voting for the Vision for Division project. Residents now have the opportunity to voice their opinion again as the village and Civic ArtWorks refine the final concepts.
Residents are encouraged to visit the project website, www.visiondivision.civicartworks.com, and voice their opinion.
The final vision will be presented to the village board March 11.
