Plainfield man dies in single-car crash

ROMEOVILLE — An 85-year-old man died after his car struck a pole Monday.
Henry R. Kutchins, of Plainfield, was driving when his vehicle hit a pole at Weber Road and Grand Boulevard. The Will County Coroner’s office reported Kutchins died at 12:15 p.m. at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital.
An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
