‘Boot camp’ planned for job seekers

A “boot camp for job seekers” will be a series of monthly programs in New Lenox to assist people who are going through a job search. The programs begin Tuesday.

The program is jointly sponsored by the village of New Lenox and the New Lenox Public Library, and all sessions will be held at the library, 120 Veterans Parkway.

Call the library to register at 815-485-2605.

The planned programs are as follows:

Tuesday, 6 to 7:30 p.m.: “How companies use the web to find employees and how to make sure they find you.”

March 14, 5 to 8 p.m.: Sign up for a 30-minute, one-on-one review session on preparing a resume and cover letter.

April 17, 6 to 7:30 p.m.: “Creating an effective LinkedIn profile.”

May 15, 5 to 8 p.m.: One-on-one resume and cover letter review sessions.
