Over There: Man promoted in U.S. Air Force

Congratulations to John K. Reed, son of Sandy L. Reed of Morris, who was promoted to chief master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.
Reed is a fuels manager assigned to the 38th Wing at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam. He has served in the military for 23 years.
He is the brother of Edward R. Reed of Channahon.
Home from deployment
Army Staff Sgt. Jason Zavodny, son of Mark and Jenny Zavodny of Romeoville, returned to the United States after being deployed overseas at a forward operating base to serve in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Zavodny is an infantryman and company fire support sergeant assigned to the 4th Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Ala. He has served 13 years in the military.
U.S. Navy Seaman Recruit Adam A. Bollinger, son of Coleen and Keith Bollinger of Plainfield, completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes.
U.S. Army Pvt. Daniel C. Cha, son of Seung and Hyesook of Plainfield, graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia S.C.
U.S. Army Pfc. Benjamin S. Gavitt, son of Melissa Gavitt of Bolingbrook, graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.
U.S. Navy Seaman Cara D. Robinson, daughter of Tina M. and Jeffrey J. Robinson of New Lenox, completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes.
