Minooka to offer C.E.R.T. class

MINOOKA — Ken Briley, director of Emergency Agency for Minooka, will host a Community Emergency Response Team Class at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays, March 19 to April 23, at the Minooka Fire Station, 7901 E. Minooka Road.

The final exam and graduation will be from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 27.

Classes are offered to those who are interested in working with the Minooka Fire Protection District and the Minooka Police Department in times of need.

Applications are available at village hall, the police department and the fire department. Completed applications must be received by March 18.

Families invited to math night

ROMEOVILLE — Families are invited to Family Fun Math Night from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at R.C. Hill Elementary School, 616 Dalhart Ave.

Participants will take home a free math game and will be able to enter a raffle to win free math prizes, explore SmartBoards in classrooms, roll a giant die, estimate items in a jar to win the whole thing, play hands-on math games in classrooms, receive free resources for at-home learning and discover free math websites in the computer lab.
