Police blotter: Electrical fire damages Joliet home

JOLIET — A tri-level house suffered $50,000 worth of damage during a fire early Thursday.
Police officers were on patrol at 2:12 a.m. in the 2200 block of Basswood Road when they saw smoke coming from the house, according to reports. Firefighters arrived to find flames coming from the roof. One man was inside at the time but was able to escape.
Investigators report the fire appears to be electrical and the resident said he’d left a clothes dryer running.
Seeking clues in burglary
MORRIS — Crimestoppers of Grundy County is seeking information about a burglary in Morris.
Between Feb. 14 and 15, someone broke into Gym Zone, 117 W. Illinois Ave. Forced entry was made through a rear window. Various beverages were taken.
Anyone with information can call anonymously to the Crimestoppers line at 815-942-9667. Rewards up to $5,000 are offered for information that leads to an arrest.

Robert S. Kelly: 43, of 34352 Lakeside Terrace in Wilmington, was arrested by Wilmington police Monday on a charge of driving on a suspended license.
Demario D. Rankin: 27, of Davenport, Iowa, was arrested by state police Monday on a charge of marijuana possession.
Tomasz D. Gronski: 19, of 18034 Crystal Lake Drive in Mokena, was arrested by sheriff’s police Monday on a charge of delivery of marijuana.
