A semi truck struck a utility pole Tuesday, knocking out power to several hundred homes in the Lakewood Falls subdivision.
About 6 p.m., the truck was turning at Taylor and Budler roads when it clipped the pole and knocked down a power cable, Will County sheriff’s police said. The line became entangled with the truck’s wheels and pulled down six other poles.
No one was injured. The truck driver was not cited.
ComEd, Comcast and AT&T crews were called in for repairs while traffic was rerouted around the intersection for several hours. Power was restored Wednesday, according to reports.
