Mass to celebrate Pope installation

The Rev. R. Daniel Conlon, the bishop of Joliet, is scheduled to say Mass in honor of the installation of Pope Francis at 7 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Raymond, 604 N. Priests of the Diocese of Joliet.
Priests and deacons from the Diocese of Joliet are expected to participate in the mass.

Foreclosure prevention workshop
State. Sen. Jennifer Bertino-Tarrant, D-Shorewood, and other lawmakers are holding a foreclosure prevention workshop on Saturday. The workshop is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Joliet Township High School West Campus.
Other lawmakers involved include state Sen. Pat McGuire, D-Joliet; Rep. Larry Walsh Jr., D-Joliet; Rep. Tom Cross, R-Plainfield; Rep. Emily McAsey, D-Romeoville; and Rep. Natalie Manley, D-Joliet.
The project is aimed at giving homeowners advice on lowering their mortgages and avoiding foreclosue. The program offers help on legal rights and credit counseling, among other things.
People who want to attend should bring with them: a household budget, income documentation, two recent bank statements, a recent utility bill, a mortgage statement or rental agreement, previous tax returns and schedules, and two months worth of recent paystubs.
