Briefs: Interested in transportation?

Residents wanting to weigh in on future transportation improvements in Plainfield have their chance to be heard at a 6 p.m. meeting Wednesday at village hall, 24401 W. Lockport St.
Officials will be presenting a draft of Plainfield’s Transportation Plan Update, which will include proposed improvements for vehicles and pedestrians. Residents will have an opportunity to give their feedback on the plan.
The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, known as CMAP, has awarded the village a $120,000 grant for the project.

I-Cash returns to Joliet
The Illinois treasurer’s office is back in Joliet Wednesday afternoon with its I-Cash program.
A representative of the treasurer’s office will be onhand to help people with reclaiming money or assets ranging from stocks and CDs to safe deposit boxes and valuables.
The event is scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Joliet Library’s Black Road branch, 3395 Black Road. The phone number is 815-846-6500.
