BOLINGBROOK — Two men being sought for an armed robbery in Hodgkins reportedly crashed their getaway car Thursday night.
State police reportedly were pursuing the vehicle on Interstate 55 about 7:10 p.m. when Lavell Fort, 20, allegedly exited onto northbound Weber Road, then crashed into two other vehicles at Boughton Road. No one was injured in the collision. Lt. Mike Rompa said Fort and passenger Stephen Jakes, 26, ran in opposite directions, but both were caught. One of the suspects “ended up hiding in a Dumpster at Chili’s,” Rompa said.
Fort was cited for driving without a license, reckless driving and failing to reduce speed.
