A Homer Glen woman working as a nurse at Stateville Correctional Center got a little too friendly with a prisoner there, police say.
Will County Judge Robert Livas issued an arrest warrant Thursday for Holly L. Logan, 47, 13952 Chicago Bloomington Trail.
Logan is accused of fondling an inmate’s penis as well as bringing a cell phone into the prison, authorities said.
Logan has been indicted in Will County on charges of custodial sexual misconduct and bringing contraband into a penal institution.
The indictment, filed in court Thursday morning, accuses Logan of bringing a cell phone into the prison sometime between Nov. 1, 2012 and Feb. 15.
She is also accused of fondling an inmate’s penis sometime between July 1, 2012 and Feb. 1.
Tom Shaer, director of communications for the Illinois Department of Corrections, said Logan was not employed by the state, but worked as a nurse for Wexford Health assigned to Stateville.
Shaer said the IDOC’s investigation substantiated the allegations against Logan.
“She absolutely, positively is no longer working as a contractual nurse for the Department of Corrections,” Shaer said.
No one answered the door at Logan’s Homer Glen address.
