Police Blotter: No injuries in shotgun blast at Joliet apartment: Cops

JOLIET — No one was injured when a shotgun was fired in an apartment Tuesday.
The incident occurred about 2:15 p.m. in the 200 block of North Broadway while a 26-year-old man was visiting a 22-year-old woman, according to reports.
Cmdr. Brian Benton said the investigation into the matter is ongoing.
Police news in brief:
A white 2002 Chevrolet Impala was found burning at 12:25 a.m. Wednesday in a parking lot in the 200 block of North Hammes Avenue. Police reports said the fire was started intentionally.

David L. Thurmond: 44, of East Chicago, Ind., was arrested by sheriff’s police Tuesday on a charge of motor vehicle theft.
Davonte D. Wright: 19, of Indianapolis, Ind., was arrested by Joliet police Tuesday on charges of burglary and marijuana possession.
Porsche M. Lamkin: 26, of 234 University Ave. in Glenwood, was arrested by Tinley Park police Wednesday on a charge of shoplifting.
Eric W. Ziegler: 32, of 247355 W. Pleasant Court in Plainfield, was arrested by sheriff’s police Wednesday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and no insurance.
