Two Will County judges to retire

Two Will County judges will be calling it a career, one at the end of this year and another before the end of 2014, according to a news release issued Wednesday by Chief Judge Richard C. Schoenstedt’s office.
Circuit Court Judge Richard J. Siegel will retire effective Dec. 31 after 12 years on the bench. He is in the Civil Jury Division and his judicial service has been “the capstone” of a legal career that begin in 1982, according to the release.
Circuit Court Judge Gerald R. Kinney will retire Nov. 30, 2014, at the end of his current term, giving him 20 years on the bench after “serving a legal profession of which he has proudly been a member for 38 years,” the release said.
He is assigned to the Felony Division after serving two terms as chief judge of the circuit, the release said.
“The Judiciary will miss these two fine jurists and we wish them well in their future endeavors,” Schoenstedt said in the release.
