The Chicagoland Speedway is offering shuttle rides to and from Joliet’s Union Station during the GEICO 400 NASCAR race on Sept. 15.
Shuttle tickets for the Train-to-Track service are $3 one-way and $6 round trip. Tickets must be purchased either on the Internet at www.ChicagolandSpeedway.com or by calling the Speedway’s administrative office at (815) 722-5500 during regular business hours.
Fans using the shuttle service will receive print-at-home tickets and must reserve a specific time for pick up from Joliet’s Union Station. A Chicagoland Speedway representative will meet fans at the station and assist with the ride to the Speedway.
Trains on the Metra-Rock Island line originate at Chicago’s LaSalle Street Station.
The Train-to-Track shuttle will service the following schedule to and from Joliet’s Union Station: For the Joliet-bound train departing Chicago at 8:30 a.m., the bus will leave Joliet’s Union Station at 10:15 a.m.; and for the Joliet-bound train departing Chicago at 10:30 a.m., the bus departs Union Station at 12:15 p.m.
On the return trip to Union Station, shuttles will depart the Speedway at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Because of the set Metra schedule, return bus departures will not change regardless of any delays during the GEICO 400 (weather delays, cautions, etc). Because of bus capacities, passengers will only be allowed to return on the bus indicated in the original reservation.
