Two men who had been living in the same Bolingbrook apartment complex are facing separate child pornography possession charges, authorities said.
Thomas M. Fees, 52, of 14 G Fernwood, was charged Monday with three counts of possession of child pornography, according to the Will County State’s Attorney’s office. He was arrested Aug. 14 and his bond was set at $200,000.
Thomas J. Goforth, 33, formerly of 15 G Fernwood who had relocated to Olathe, Kan., has been charged with child porn possession by Kansas authorities. The Will County State’s Attorney’s office is reviewing the case to decide whether to file local charges against Goforth.
Fees and Goforth were charged after separate two-month investigations by the state’s attorney’s High Technology Crimes Unit, the Illinois Attorney General’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the U.S. Secret Service, Bolingbrook and Wheaton police departments.
