ROMEOVILLE — A 67-year-old Bolingbrook man who allegedly exposed himself repeatedly to another man before propositioning him at a forest preserve last week was charged with public indecency, authorities said.
The victim was in Veterans Woods near Joliet Road on Aug. 27 when a man stood in front of him, exposed his penis, urinated and left, Will County Forest Preserve Police Officer Cameron Povalish said.
“There are bathrooms nearby but this was done out in the open,” Povalish said.
The victim returned to the same woods the next day with a video camera and recorded Gary N. Focht doing the same thing, Povalish said. After relieving himself, Focht reportedly offered to touch the man’s genitals.
Povalish said the video showed a license plate that led police to Focht. On Saturday, police went to his house at 22626 Cedarwood Court in Bolingbrook.
“We conducted an interview and he admitted to the indecency,” Povalish said.
Focht was booked into the county jail before being released on bond.
