JOLIET — A city resident was busted Monday with PCP for the second time in a week, police said.
Cmdr. Al Roechner said a patrol officer saw a GMC Yukon pull into a Citgo gas station, 379 S. Chicago St., about 2:30 a.m. and recognized it as belonging to Jarrell Luckey, who had been arrested Sept. 11 by Channahon police.
“When the officer approached the Yukon, he saw a passenger, Mitchell Jordan, 31, of 5 Bradford Road, holding a bottle of Hennessy between his feet,” Roechner said.
He said further questions led to a search of the center console, where officers found a foil package containing cigarettes that had been dipped in PCP.
Roechner said Luckey admitted the cigarettes were his and was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
In the Sept. 11 incident, a Channahon officer saw a van driving erratically on U.S. 6 and observed a foil package of PCP thrown out a window before he could make a traffic stop, according to police.
Luckey, of 2101 Belmont Ave.; John M. Adams, 25; and Jeremy Moffett, 28, Jevonte Moffett, 20, and Ivan Moffett, 18, all of Joliet, were arrested on drug possession charges, police said.

JOLIET — A 22-year-old man burglarized houses and cars while staying in a nearby vacant house, police said.
Police Chief Brian Benton said a resident reported a suspicious person Monday morning in the 6700 block of Sahara Drive.
A man matching the description, later identified as Jamell Collier, was stopped nearby but gave an alias and ran away, Benton said.
Officers set up a perimeter and used a canine unit to track Collier.
“He said he’d been living illegally in a vacant house and taken property from there in addition to committing other burglaries in the area,” Benton said.
Collier was charged with residential burglary, burglary and criminal trespass, police said.

JOLIET — A woman reported to police that two women robbed her early Tuesday while she was walking about 4 a.m. near Eastern Avenue and Jackson Street.
The 30-year-old victim said she was approached by Kirsten K. Welch, 31, and another woman, recognizing them from time that all three spent in the Will County Jail, according to police.
They said Welch punched the victim and demanded money while her accomplice implied that she had a knife and stole $49 from the woman’s pockets.
Officers found Welch, of 505 E. Jackson St., near Cass Street and Parks Avenue a short time later, and she was charged with aggravated robbery. The other woman was not located.
