Gov. Pat Quinn will be in Joliet Thursday to join Home Depot officials as they mark the opening of a new distribution center.
The Home Depot Joliet Stocking Distribution Center is an expansion of a facility the home-improvement retailer opened in January 2012.
Home Depot will employ an additional 200 workers because of the expansion, according to the governor’s office.
The operation in CenterPoint Intermodal Park-Joliet already employed 350 workers and distributed merchandise to 140 stores in the Midwest.
