A spokesperson said that they were trying to resolve glitches in the new Ventra fare system. Is the word “glitches” the acceptable word to mean it’s broken and doesn’t work? How many commuters were amused with Ventra’s glitches? Let’s see a show of hands.
Joliet revitalization making strides
It’s a joy to see the downtown Joliet revitalization program making such tremendous progress with the Joliet city center, the repaving of many of our main streets with the fixing of the curbs, the remodeling project for our magnificently beautiful Joliet Central High School just around the corner and the train station in the process of being constructed. What a wonderful time for the downtown area. Everyone involved should be proud of their accomplishments to make Joliet the city of champions that it is.
I would like to thank all of the volunteers who helped out at the back-to-school party we had a Mount Ebal Baptist Church in Lockport. I’d like to thank manager Jason from Walgreens, Pastor Cornell Ervins, Pastor Herbert Brooks and all of the donors who donated to the back-to-school party. I’d also like to thank my wife for putting it all together and state Sen. Pat McGuire for showing up. We helped more than 200 children with their back-to-school supplies.
