Police blotter: Siblings shoot up heroin in Bolingbrook lot

BOLINGBROOK — Two brothers were arrested Saturday after they reportedly injected themselves with heroin and passed out in a parking lot.

Security at Walmart, 200 S. Bolingbrook Drive, called 911 at 3:15 p.m., Lt. Mike Rompa said.

Brian Morales, 24, of 809 Sudbury Drive in Joliet, and Kevin A. Morales, 23, of 1285 Santa Fe Road in Romeoville, were “unresponsive” and taken to Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital.

“A needle that appeared to be filled with heroin was located in the car,” Rompa said.

After being treated, both men were booked into the county jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance.

Equipment shed burns

JOLIET — Fire destroyed an equipment shed early Monday.

Joliet Fire Capt. Robert Wohlrab said Joliet and Elwood firefighters were called at 12:16 a.m. to the blaze in the 24400 block of South Bridge Road, south of Millsdale Road.

“The single-story pole building was fully-involved (with flames) when companies arrived,” Wohlrab said. The building, which stored farm equipment, was valued at $15,000.

The fire remains under investigation.

Liquor charges

JOLIET — Four people were arrested on liquor and disorderly charges in an incident at 6:44 p.m. Saturday in the 0-100 block of West Jefferson Street.

Kato Robinson Jr., 53, listed in jail records as homeless, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Three others were arrested on a complaint of liquor on a public way: Clyde L. Russell, 59, of 350 E. Washington St. Joliet; Faye I. Coleman, 42, of 386 N. Bluff St., Joliet; and John B. Brown of 2515 W. Fourth in Minneapolis.

Henry L. Gibson: 61, of 24 Wilson Ave. in Joliet, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Thursday on charges of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on a suspended license and disorderly conduct.

Thomas A. Heggen: 55, of 1004 Layne Court in Shorewood, was arrested by Shorewood police and booked into the county jail Thursday on charges of fraud and identity theft.

Mario Gomez: 37, of 560 Meeker Ave. in Joliet, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into the county jail Thursday on charges of delivery of a controlled substance.

Andrew M. Kongpricha: 18, of 901 Pearson Drive in Joliet, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Friday on charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a stolen firearm, unauthorized possession of ammunition and possession of cannabis.

James E. Askew: 55, of 358 N. Broadway in Joliet, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Friday on a charge of aggravated domestic battery.

Teran D. Smith: 28, of 712 E. 153rd St. in Phoenix, was arrested by Joliet police and booked into the county jail Friday on charges of aggravated domestic battery and domestic battery.

Jermol R. Tilsen: 18, of 139 Foxglove in Romeoville, was arrested by Romeoville police and booked into the county jail Friday on a charge of vandalism.

Brandy N. Layne: 20, of 203 Montrose Drive in Romeoville, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into county jail Friday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

Michael C. Ely: 33, of 2038 S. Halsted St. in Chicago, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into county jail Friday on a charge of theft.

Codey M. Cervantes: 19, of 1110 Daniel Trail in Mokena was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into county jail Friday on a charge of theft.

Lonnie M. Pinnick: 20, of 2133 Luther in Joliet was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into county jail Friday on a charge of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance.

Jeffrey M. Goudie: 47, of 324 E. 18th St. in Lockport was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into county jail Friday on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Brandon M. Cribbs: 25, of 14505 Evers in Westchester was arrested by Joliet police and booked into county jail Friday on charges of forgery and obstructing justice.

Stanley D. Allison: 56, of 120 Kankakee in Buckingham was arrested by Frankfort police and booked into county jail Friday on charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Monty L. Clark: 19, of 1027 Sherman in Joliet was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into county jail Friday on a charge of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.
