Morris Area Garden Club members visited the Peck Farm Butterfly House in Geneva in August for their annual field trip and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.

The butterfly house was roomy and easily accessible to everyone, with lots of flowers, a small waterfall and pond and 14 species of butterflies fluttering around freely.

Afterward, members and guests drove into Geneva and ate lunch at Honey-Jam Cafe.

MAGC next meets at 7 p.m. Sept. 20 and will be assembling at their new “club house” in the new Morris Municipal Building at 700 Division St. (Route 47).

The first speaker for the season will be Dolly Foster, a Master Gardener for 11 years, who will address “Butterfly Gardening”.

MAGC will collect boxes of oatmeal for We Care and swap produce. Bring extra veggies and fruit from your garden to share or swap. Anything leftover will go to We Care.

MAGC is having their half-price membership drive at this time and anyone interested in gardening, the environment and nature are welcome at all meetings. Visit www.morrisareagardenclub.com or look for the club on on Facebook.
