(OSWEGO) A Romeoville man was ticketed after apparently running a red light and smashing into another vehicle Thursday evening near west suburban Oswego.
The accident happened at 6:15 p.m. near Route 30 and Wolf Road near Oswego, a release from the Kendall County Sheriff’s office said. Police learned Antonio DeLaCruz-Medina, 59, was driving south on Route 30 when he ran a red light.
He struck a vehicle being driven by a 52-year-old Aurora man, who was driving east on Wolf Road, the release said. The man had two passengers inside, including a 9-year-old girl.
DeLaCruz-Medina was cited for disobeying a stop light and operating an uninsured motor vehicle, police said. He was the only taken to the hospital for injuries.
