Police: Lockport man taped minor in bathroom

LOCKPORT — Police say a man secretly videotaped an underage girl in the bathroom last month.

Lucas C. Goldsmith, 20, was arrested Friday and charged with one count of producing child pornography. Lt. Dave Draksler declined to answer how Goldsmith knew the victim, but said she is not a family member.

“Goldsmith had set up a hidden camera in the bathroom. On Nov. 22, a relative found the recorded video on a media player in his house and we were notified Dec. 11,” Draksler said.

Goldsmith, of 409 S. State St., was questioned Friday and allegedly admitted to videotaping the girl before he was charged and booked into the county jail.

Joseph A. Whelan: 51, of 18809 Crawford Ave. in Flossmoor, was arrested by Monee police and booked into the county jail Friday on charges of aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery and interfering with the report of domestic violence.

Israel E. Medina: 31, of 3423 Sally Drive in Steger, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into the county jail Friday on a charge of driving on a suspended license.

Fiacro Silva: 38, of 422 Ohio in Joliet, was arrested by sheriff’s police and booked into the county jail Friday on charges of driving on a suspended license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

Alex J. Concannon: 21, of 855 Summit Creek in Shorewood, was arrested by Shorewood police and booked into the county jail Saturday on a charge of aggravated battery.
