BOLINGBROOK — Police say a dispute between two men who dated the same woman led to four arrests Sunday.

Around 2:30 p.m. a man called police to the 300 block of Grand Canyon Drive to report four men attempting to break down the door of his house, reports said.

“They were unsuccessful and then used bricks to break out the windows on a vehicle in the driveway (before) police arrived,” Lt. Mike Rompa said.

Jermaine D. Fields-Alexander, 18, of 1509 W. Jefferson St. in Naperville; Henry L. Wilkes, 20, of 1513 W. Jefferson St. in Naperville; Reginald Baggett, 20, of 230 Elmwood Drive in Naperville, and Ashton D. Borden, 17, of 117 Robin Hood Way, were arrested and booked into the county jail on charges of vandalism and mob action.

“The incident stemmed over Fields-Alexander currently dating the ex-girlfriend of the victim,” Rompa said.

Vehicle burglary charges

ROMEOVILLE — Two 19-year-old men were arrested after reportedly being spotted going through unlocked cars Sunday night.

Assistant Chief Steve Lucchesi said a resident called police around 11:30 p.m. to the 300 block of Hemlock Avenue saw Jose M. Valencia and Luis A. Robledo taking items from a vehicle parked outside.

The pair reportedly fled to Homer Avenue, a block away, where they were spotted by responding officers and detained.

“They were identified as the suspects and officers determined they’d gone into four unlocked vehicles taking loose change, compact discs and a wallet with credit cards,” Lucchesi said.

Valencia, of 331 Homer Ave., and Robledo, of 247 Zinnia Drive, were booked into the county jail on charges of burglary.

Cop: Teens target cars

MOKENA — Two teens have been charged with burglary after allegedly checking door handles to remove items from parked cars early Sunday.

Around 4 a.m. the pair were reportedly seen looking into cars near Leetrim Court and Scarth Lane, Cmdr. Dan Rankovich said.

“Officers responded and saw both subjects in the 10600 block of Lowery Court where Nicholas M. Dehaan, 17, was inside a white SUV,” Rankovich said.

Dehaan and Tyler A. Stirn, 19, reportedly took off running and split up. After a footchase, Stirn was captured on Connemara Court. A Frankfort officer assisting police found Dehaan in the 19100 block of Crescent Drive.

“One of the suspects admitted they’d been trying unlocked door handles and threw the items down when they were spotted,” Rankovich said.

Stirn, of Tinley Park, and Dehaan, of 11127 Revere Road, were booked into the county jail on charges of burglary.
